history

I designed this project after boutique hotels in South Beach. A lot of my influence came from the Delano Hotel (Schrager).  It has always been one of the most vibrant communal properties

Creating a place that was festive and where you could be entertained is what made this project most interesting.   You can have private time in one of the cabanas, watch the game at the outdoor TV lounge, BBQ, play shuffle board, play ping pong, swim or just lounge in the sun, you have more than enough to keep entertained.

Trammell Crow's son lived there and so did my Dad.  We told people when we started that this was our party property. Let it create its own vibe.  We put tenants in there that understand this is a modern-day Melrose place and if you aren't social this might not be the best property for them. Since we're able to guide people to the right residences, we get communities.

At one point it became a favored nightlife scene in Dallas. One night, we got noise complaints.  We found out there were 400 people in the courtyard. I was shocked and I was worried about the people so we had to have the parties toned down.

This is still one of my favorite properties.
